Munnar

Arrived in Munnar late yesterday afternoon and did a few sholas this morning and a riverside park this afternoon - 3 Grey-breasted Laughingthrush, 1 Black-shouldered Kite, 1 Large Hawk-cuckoo, 1 Blue-capped Rock Thrush and loads of Indian Swiflets and White-backed Needletails.

February 15th 2008. India.






Another full day out - all day around Bondla, evening at the Biera Mar.

Lots of birds at Bondla - 1 Rufous Woodpecker, 2 Malabar Whistling Thrush, 4 Racket-tailed Drongo, 2 Malabar Grey Hornbill, 2 Grey Junglefowl, 2 Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, 2 Western-crowned Warbler, 1 Brown Flycatcher, 3 Malabar Trogon, 3 Blacked-naped Monarch, 3 Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, 2 Asian Paradise Flycatcher, 1 Blue-capped Rock Thrush and a Tickell's Thrush (so they do exist in Goa !)

1 Black-shouldered Kite, 300+ Rose-coloured Starling, 2 Indian Silverbill, 7 Scaly-breasted Munia, 11 Chestnut-tailed Starling, 2 Blyth's Pipit, 1 Tree Pipit, 1 White-browed Wagtail and a Barn Owl at the Biera Mar.
