Now that the wind has gone around to the west, there seems to be some migrants appearing ! Willow Warbler in the garden, and loads of Wheatears (40+) and Rock Pipits (30+) at Scatness, plus a flock of 37 Twite feeding on the thistles, 4 Dunlin on the Bathing Pool (+2 on the cliff tops), 3 Swallows over the mire and 7 Greylags on the Loch.
A good few hours spent on the banks of the bathing pool at Scatness, 3 splendid summer plumaged Knot (yesterdays flock seems to have moved on), 6 Dunlin and a couple of Turnstone. Lots of Oystercatchers and Arctic Terns still using the pool.

Pretty obvious why it's called the bathing pool.....
Knot have now increased to 57 at Scatness, mostly on the bathing pool, also at Scatness - 1 Green Sandpiper, 4 Whimbrel, 3 Dunlin and another freshly fledged brood of Wheatear.
