2 fem type Common Scoters in Quendale Bay (seen from the House), Robin and 2 Fieldfare in the Garden.

21st - 28th Jan - Fuerteventura.

Spent everyday around the Costa Calma area (apart from one day at La Lajita).

21st - 3 Trumpeter Finches seen by the Airport.
20 Chiffchaffs (Canary Is and Common), Wood Warbler, Common Sandpiper, Song Thrush 2 White Wagtail and 26 Linnets around the Sewage Farm.
8 Black-bellied Sandgrouse, 2 Cream-coloured Courser, 24 Stone Curlew and Lesser Short-toed Larks in nearby Desert.

22nd - 4 Barbary Partridge, 7 Hoopoe, 20 Stone Curlew, 3 Southern Grey Shrike in the Desert.

23rd - 3 Hoopoe, 19 Stone Curlew, 6 Cream-coloured Courser, 2 Houbara Bustard (inc 1 displaying on a distant ridge), 14 Raven, 2 Black-bellied Sandgrouse, 2 Southern Grey Shrikes and 40+ Lesser Short-toed Larks in the Desert.

24th - 1 Blackcap and a Barbary Falcon at Costa Calma.
2 Fuereventura Chat, 2 Little Egret, 2 Laughing Doves, 1 Kestrel and 18 Trumpeter Finch at La Lajita.

25th - 4 Goldfinch (in Costa Calma woods), 2 Cream-coloured Courser, 40+ Lesser Short-toed Larks, 8 Stone Curlew ( in the Desert), Common Sandpiper at the Sewage Farm.

26th - 4 Southern Grey Shrikes, 5 Black-bellied Sandgrouse, 10 Cream-coloured Courser, 4 Houbara Bustard, 30+ Lesser Short-toed Larks, 4 Raven and 20+ Barbary Ground Squirrel in the Desert, 2 Goldfinch in Costa Calma woods.

27th - 3 Houbara Bustards, 14 Black-bellied Sandgrouse, 2 Southern Grey Shrikes, 3 Hoopoe, 15 Cream-coloured Courser, 80+ Lesser Short-toed Larks, 2 Trumpeter Finch, 4 Raven and 25+ Barbary Ground Squirrel in the Desert, 2 Goldfinch at Costa Calma.

28th - 6 Linnet and a Goldfinch at Costa Calma, 1 Little Egret at the Airport.
Flight back to Glasgow in the afternoon.
Berthelot's Pipit, Spanish Sparrow and Spectacled Warbler seen every day - almost everywhere.

King Eider.

Spent the afternoon around South Mainland - 3 Fieldfare, 1 Robin in the Garden. 1 Merlin at Bigton. Male King Eider in Mousa Sound (with about 120 Common Eider) + 2 Glaucous Gulls off Leebitton.
